Bis-acrylamide (N, N'-Methylene-bis-Acrylamide) is the most abundantly used crosslinking agent which crosslinks between acrylamide to polymerize acrylamide gels for protein separation applications in electrophoresis. Bis-acrylamide powder is water souloble (20 mg/mL) and widely used at the concentration of 2% bis-acrylamide in most electrophoresis applications.
