Background
Beef contains allergens such as serum albumin and globulins. When immune function is compromised, the consumption of beef may trigger abnormal immune responses, leading to allergic reactions. Beef allergy may be associated with reduced immunity, poor freshness of the meat, or the presence of additives. In some cases, beef allergy results from sensitivity to a specific component in beef. Common allergic symptoms include skin itching, urticaria, difficulty breathing, and generalized pain. In severe cases, it may lead to decreased blood pressure, rapid breathing, and even coma or anaphylactic shock.
