BcMag™ Hydrazide-Terminated Magnetic Beads are uniform, silica-based superparamagnetic beads coated with high density hydrazide functional groups on the surface. The beads are used covalently couple aldehyde- or ketone-containing ligands such as antibody, lectin, glycoprotein, carbohydrates through the formation of stable hydrazine linkage. Such coupling method is a powerful way to immobilize proteins and leave critical active sites free.
• Covalently couples with high efficiency
• Ideal matrix for coupling polyclonal antibodies because beads only couple to Fc region, therefore both antigen-binding sites are free to interact with antigens.
• Stable covalent bond with minimal ligand leakage
