EF-C8 is a chromatographic resin with silica as the matrix and bonded to octylsilane. It is more suitable for separating some hydrophobic compounds with stronger nonpolarity. APUSIL™ EF-C8 chromatographic columns can be widely used for the analysis of drugs, small molecule peptides and proteins. EP-C8 has a larger particle size and can be used for preparation. It is suitable for separating samples that take too long to separate on C18, such as relatively hydrophobic peptides and insulin.

Background
APUSIL™ HPLC columns are packed with spherical silica gel as the matrix, bonded with ligands such as C4/C8/C18/CN/Phenyl/Diol. They feature low metal ion content (<20 PPM), high specific surface area, and good mechanical strength. Thanks to its unique chemical bonding technology, APUSIL™ columns exhibit excellent bonding and sealing stability, meeting the high requirements of analytical and preparative applications.
Features of Silica Gel Columns
• Low silanol activity
• Uniform bonding
• Low metal content
• Narrow particle size distribution
• Good stability
