APUSIL™ C4 is a chromatographic resin with an ultrapure silica matrix and butylsilane as the bonding phase, featuring a pore size of 300 Å. Due to its very low carbon chain length and carbon loading, its retention time is shorter than that of C18 and C8. APUSIL™ C4 columns are ideally suited for separating certain specific samples, such as erythropoietin.

Background
APUSIL™ HPLC columns are packed with spherical silica gel as the matrix, bonded with ligands such as C4/C8/C18/CN/Phenyl/Diol. They feature low metal ion content (<20 PPM), high specific surface area, and good mechanical strength. Thanks to its unique chemical bonding technology, APUSIL™ columns exhibit excellent bonding and sealing stability, meeting the high requirements of analytical and preparative applications.
Features of Silica Gel Columns
• Low silanol activity
• Uniform bonding
• Low metal content
• Narrow particle size distribution
• Good stability
