Is useful for studying the intracellular distribution and structure of actin in the cytoskeletalsystem. In immunoblotting one single band is reactive corresponding to actin. In addition to theintermediate filaments, the cytoskeleton contains contractile micro filaments. These proteins occur inmost cell types, but more abundantly in muscle cells and myoepithelial cells. There are three types ofcontractile proteins: actin, myosin and tubuli.Immunogen: antigen isolated from chicken skeletal muscle cells
