Recognizes in paraffin sections only myelin in the peripheral nervous system (PNS). Infrozen sections it also reacts with myelin in the central nervous system (CNS). Is useful for studyingmyelination and demyelination processes in the PNS, and remyelination processes in the CNS as canbe observed after trauma in multiple sclerosis. Reacts with a 43 kD protein in immunoblotting.Immunogen: human myelin isolated from peripheral nervous system
