        • The DMS(O)MT-protection of aliphatic amino-group is easier to cleave compared to the MMT-function. The sulfoxy derivative can either be cleaved with standard deblock solution on the synthesizer, or left intact for HPLC “Trityl-on purification”. At the same time, the DMS(O)MT group is fully compatible with cartridge purification. The DMS(O)MT+ appears more stable than MMT+ and therefore does not reattach itself to an amine.
