t-Boc-N-amido-PEG-3.4K-Succinimidyl Carbonate is a PEG derivative with a t-Boc protecting group and a succinimidyl carbonate group. The t-Boc protecting group can be removed under acidic conditions to form a free amine. The succinimidyl carbonate group is a good leaving group and commonly reacts with amine nucleophiles. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
