t-Boc-N-amido-PEG-3.4K-Succinimidyl Valerate is a PEG derivative with a t-Boc protecting group and a terminal succinimidyl moieties. The succinimdyl group is a good leaving group and can react with amine nucleophiles. The t-Boc protecting group can be removed under acidic conditions to form a free amine. The hydrophilic PEG chain increases the water solubility of the compound.
