        • When a validated siRNA sequence (for example, obtained by a large-scale siRNA validation screening) needs to maintain gene silencing for a longer period of time, we recommend the use of a short-hairpin RNA (shRNA) vector system. A shRNA expression vector with an incorporated antibiotic resistance gene can: 1) continuously produce shRNAs inside the cell, and 2) allow for selection of transfected cells. We recently introduced a new generation highly efficient, ready to use shRNA expression plasmids: our SuperSilencing shRNA Expression Vector System achieves excellent suppression of the target gene, lasting for several weeks or longer.

          Our SuperSilencing shRNA Expression Vector characteristics:
          - Stable shRNA expression to achieve continuous RNAi.
          - Screening and selectable markers help to establish a stably transfected cell line.
          - Two cloning restriction sites: BamH I and BbsI. BbsI is a special restriction endonuclease that produces asymmetrical complementary sticky ends to ensure correct insertion of the target DNA oligo, and prevents self-circularization of the plasmid vector.
          - Convenient and easy to operate.
          - Economical: one only needs to synthesize DNA oligos against the target gene.
