STAR BEADS Pathogen DNA/RNA Extraction Kit, provides a fast and efficient purification method to isolate high-quality pathogen DNA and RNA from a set of biological samples.

The STAR BEADS Pathogen DNA/RNA Extraction Kit is designed for the extraction of pathogen DNA and RNA from different biological samples, such as whole blood, swabs, plasma, urine. The kit has been validated for the extraction of CMV DNA from whole blood, sexually transmitted pathogens (STPs) NA from vaginal swabs and urine, HPV DNA from cervical swab, Monkey Pox from lesion swabs, Sars-CoV-2 from respitatory swabs, HSV-1, Neisseria Meningitidis and other pathogens from cerebrospinal fluid. For other matrixes species, performance must be validated by the customer.

It is designed to be used with any downstream application that employs enzymatic amplification or other enzymatic modifications of DNA and RNA followed by signal detection or amplification. All diagnostic results generated using the sample preparation procedure along with any downstream diagnostic tests should be interpreted in relation to other clinical or laboratory findings.

Background

STAR BEADS is a line dedicated to rapid and efficient purification and isolation of high quality nucleic acids from various sample types.
STAR BEADS line based on magnetic beads technology, enabling the selective binding of total nucleic acid to the magnetic beads, while removing impurities efficiently during the washing steps.
The resulting high quality total nucleic acid is then eluted from the beads using RNase-DNase free water and is then ready for use in sensitive molecular testing.
