SPDP-dPEG®36-NHS ester, product number 10867, is an amphiphilic, water-soluble, monodispersed PEGylation reagent that is designed to crosslink amines and free thiols. SPDP (sometimes referred to as orthopyridyl disulfide, or OPSS, in the scientific literature) reacts with sulfhydryl groups to form disulfide bonds. The N-hydroxysuccinimidyl (NHS) ester reacts with free amines to form amide bonds.
PEGylation with Quanta BioDesign's dPEG® Products
Oursingle molecular weight, discrete chain length PEGylation reagents are quite different from traditional PEGylation reagents. Our products are not dispersed polymers, nor are they purified from polymeric mixtures. Instead, we synthesize all of our products from high-purity starting materials and maintain discrete chain lengths and single molecular weights throughout the entire synthetic process. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
