SEPLITE® LSC720 is a macroporous polystyrene based, thiouronium chelating resin, with functional groups designed for the selective removal of heavy metals, especially for Hg,Au, Pt, Pd etc. LSC720 can be useful for problems where removal of ions Au, Pt, Pd is desired. The most common application for LSC 720 is for mercury in different solutions, by its high selectivity, it could reduce the mercury content to 5ppb. Other Application may be found in different fields of chemical technology such as waste water treatment, recovery of precious metals from rinse waters in the electronic industries. LSC 720 is more resistant to oxidation than thiol-based resins and contact with the atmosphere is not detrimental. Considered the long usage time and tight combination of mercury, normally it is not recommended to regenerate for reuse.
