      • Overview
        • Seplife® Chloromethyl Resin (Merrifield resin) is the standard support for the Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) of acid peptides by Boc strategy.
The first amino acid is attached to Merrifield resins by nucleophilic displacement of chlorine. The resulting resin-substrate bond is stable in mild acids such as trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and requires strong acid conditions for cleavage such as HF.
Currently, Merrifield resin is the support of choice for the preparation of the majority of the resins used for the Fmoc strategy.
