Mass Spectrometry-grade Lys-N Protease specifically hydrolyzes peptide bonds at the N-terminus of lysine (K) residues. It is a mirror-image protease of conventional Lys-C, belonging to the new series of N-terminal–cleaving proteases.
Physical Form: Mass spectrometry-grade Lys-N protease is provided as a lyophilized powder.
Reconstitution Solution (HLS HAc001Zn): It is recommended to reconstitute the Lys-N protease in 50 mM zinc acetate buffer.
Shelf Life: 24 months when stored at –80°C.
pH Range: Lys-N exhibits optimal activity at pH 7–9.
Application: Lys-N protease specifically hydrolyzes peptide bonds at lysine (K) residues of denatured proteins.
General Solution Digestion Method:
Use the enzyme at a protein-to-enzyme ratio of 50:1 (w/w) and perform digestion in a 37°C water bath for 2 hours.
Recommended Buffer:
50 mM ammonium bicarbonate buffer or 50 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8).Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
