Mass Spectrometry-grade rGlu-C Protease specifically hydrolyzes peptide bonds at the C-terminus of glutamic acid (E) or aspartic acid (D) residues. This enzyme is suitable for in-solution digestion and is not recommended for in-gel digestion.
Physical Form: Mass spectrometry-grade rGlu-C protease is provided as a lyophilized powder.
Reconstitution: Dissolve the rGlu-C protease in ultrapure water before use.
Shelf Life: 12 months when stored at –20°C.
pH Range: rGlu-C exhibits optimal activity between pH 4.0–9.0.
Application: rGlu-C protease specifically hydrolyzes peptide bonds at aspartic acid (D) and glutamic acid (E) residues of denatured proteins.
In-solution Digestion SOP:
Use 50 µg of rGlu-C protease at a 25:1 (w/w) protein-to-enzyme ratio.
Perform digestion at pH 8.5 and 37°C with constant temperature incubation for 13–16 hours overnight.
Cleavage Sites: D, EPlease contact us at for specific academic pricing.
