XAGE1A Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 104 amino acids (1-81 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 11.5kDa. XAGE1A is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. G antigen family D member 2 (XAGE1A) belongs to the XAGE subfamily, which is a member of the GAGE family. The GAGE genes are expressed various tumors and in a number of fetal and reproductive tissues. XAGE1A contains a nuclear localization signal and shares a sequence similarity with other GAGE/PAGE proteins. XAGE1A is strongly expressed in Ewing's sarcoma, alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and normal testis. Due to the expression pattern and the sequence similarity, the XAGE1A protein is also a member of a family of CT (cancer-testis) antigens.
