LSM12 Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 218 amino acids (1-195 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 24.1kDa. LSM12 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. LSM12 Homolog, U6 Small Nuclear RNA Associated (LSM12) is a member of the snRNP Sm proteins family. Sm-like proteins were detected in various organisms based on sequence homology with the Sm protein family. Sm-like proteins comprise the Sm sequence motif, which consists of two regions parted by a linker of variable length which folds as a loop. The Sm-like proteins are assumed to create a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are significant for pre-mRNA splicing.
