Rapid Detection Kit for GST-tagged Proteins (LFIA)

The Rapid Detection Kit is used for quick, simple detection of GST-tagged proteins through colloidal gold-based lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA). The LFIA strip is composed of membrane immobilized antibodies, sample pad, conjugate pad, and absorbent pad.
The gold conjugated anti-GST-tag mouse monoclonal antibodies are immobilized at conjugate pad. The mouse monoclonal antibodies against GST-tag are immobilized over test line. The goat anti-mouse IgG polyclonal antibodies are immobilized at control zone. The sample is applied to the sample pad at one end of the strip and it subsequently migrates to the other parts of strip by capillary action. GST-tagged proteins in the sample will react with gold conjugated antibodies immobilized at conjugate pad. When the complexes migrate along the strip into the detection zone and will be captured by antibodies against GST-tag. Intensity of color at test line corresponds to the concentration of GST-tagged proteins in the sample. In both positive and negative tests, the mouse monoclonal antibodies will bind to the secondary antibodies immobilized at the control line. A red control line will appear in both positive and negative results.
The recommended working range of the lateral flow assay is 30 ng/ml to 3 μg/ml of GST-tagged proteins. The color of the test line is positively correlated with the concentration of GST-tagged proteins in the sample. When the concentration of GST-tagged proteins in the sample exceeds the range of 3 μg/ml to 10 ug/ml, the intensity of the test line will remain strong.
