TRITC-coupled purified hyperimmune rabbit IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. It is reconstituted by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water, spun down to remove insoluble particles, divided into small aliquots, frozen and stored at or below -20°C.

Background
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to both subclasses IgG2a and IgG2b. It reacts with determinants specific for IgG2a and IgG2b and iso and allospecific determinants. It does not react with other subclasses of IgG, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in mouse serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical single and double staining for the detection of IgG2 at the cellular and subcellular level by staining of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates; as indicating second antibody conjugate to analyze or separate human cells after reacting with monoclonal mouse antibodies in immunofluorescence microscopy, fluorescence activated cell sorting and flow cytometry; to identify and measure IgG2 in mouse serum or other body fluids. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal.
