      • Overview
        • IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (CYNPGLDGIIEYDDFK) corresponding to amino acids 4-19 of human NFkappaB p52. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

      • Applications
        • Application Description
This polyclonal antibody can be used in ELISA (1: 100 dilution), immunocytochemistry (1: 100 dilution) and it recognizes NFkappaB protein (52 kDa) in Western blot of HeLa cell lysate (1: 500). Nuclear factor kappa light chain enhancer in B cells (NF?B) is a transcription regulator that consists of two subunits, 50 kDa DNA binding subunit (p50) and 65 kDa transactivation subunit (p65/Rel1A). p52 subunit has an isoform p50 and both proteins are derived from p105 precursor. NFkappaB p52 forms dimers with other members of the NFkappaB/Re1 and it remains in the cytosol in an inactive form bounded to its inhibitor IkappaB. Upon stimulation, phosphorylation of IkappaB releases NFkappaB complex which is traslocated into de nucleus and regulates the expression of genes that participate in immune, apoptotic, and oncogenic processes.
