  - Application Description
    
    This polyclonal antibody can be used in ELISA (1: 100 dilution), immunocytochemistry (1: 100 dilution) and it recognizes c-erbB-2 protein (185 kDa) in Western Blot of HeLa cell lysate (1: 500 dilution). C-erbB-2 oncoprotein is a 185 kDa type I membrane tyrosine kinase receptor and belongs to the EGF receptor family. It plays an important role in the control of intracellular signaling events which are crucial for cell growth, differentiation and survival. The overexpression of the erbB-2 proto-oncogene is associated with an aggressive human adenocarcinomas, mainly breast and ovarian tumours.
