Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized whole antiserum. No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal rabbit serum. No foreign proteins added. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water.

Background
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunit of subclass IgG2. It does not react with other IgG1, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in bovine serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG2 in bovine serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of bovine IgG2 from serum or plasma.
