Background
Payrvinium pamoate is an ancient anthelmintic used to treat intestinal helminthiasis. As it inhibits the Wnt / β-catenin pathway in certain types of cancer, it has attracted attention as an anticancer drug. In vitro, palmitate pyruvate treatment inhibited AKT-mediated phosphorylation of GSK3β at S9 and reduced the protein levels of β-catenin and its downstream targets (c-Myc, cyclin D1). In addition, palmitate pyruvate significantly inhibited migration and invasion in vitro.
