Propargyl-PEG4-S-PEG4-propargyl is a PEG derivative containing two propargyl groups. The propargyl groups can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield stable triazole linkages. The hydrophilic PEG chains increase the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
