Phleomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic which belongs to the bleomycin family of antibiotics. It blocks the entry to S-phase of cell cycle via intercalating double strand DNAs. It acts against most bacteria, filamentous fungi, yeast, plant and animal cells.
