PEG-bis-Succinimidyl Valerate, MW 5K is a polyPEG derivative that contains two succinimidyl groups. The succinimdyl group is a good leaving group and can react with amine nucleophiles. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
