PEG-bis-Valeric Acid, MW 5K is a PEG derivative with two terminal carboxylic acid groups. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amines in the presence of activators such as EDC and DCC to form stable amide bonds. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the compounds water solubility in aqueous media.
