pAAVdual-EF1a-mCherry is used to produce AAV-EF1a-mCherry virus using novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the regular single strand AAV genome with a EF1a promoter and an mCherry reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. AAV-EF1a-mCherry viruses can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The EF1a promoter, also known as the cytomegalovirus promoter, is a widely used promoter sequence in molecular biology and biotechnology. It is derived from the immediate early promoter of the cytomegalovirus and is commonly used to drive the expression of genes in a variety of experimental and practical applications.Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
