      • Overview
        • Neuropeptide Y Receptor 1 is a member of the Gi/o-protein-coupled receptor family. It is localized in brain, spleen, small intestine, kidney, testis, placenta and aortic smooth muscle. In Humans, encoded by the NPY1R gene, NPY1R has effects on psychomotor activity, food intake, anxiolysis, regulation of central endocrine secretion, vasoactive effects on the cardiovascular system, pain transmission and control of pituitary hormone release.
