Antibacterial and antiparasitic.
Peptoids are peptide-mimicking poly-N-substituted glycines, which exhibit enhanced physiological stability and are known to have antibacterial and antiparasitic qualities. They have recently been shown to have activity against Leishmania mexicana axenic amastigotes. Nah is the N-substituted aminohexyl peptoid monomer and Nspe is the (S)-(N-1-phenylethyl)glycine peptoid monomer.
