N6AMT1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. N-6 Adenine-Specific DNA Methyltransferase 1, also known as N6AMT1 ispart of the methyltransferase family. N6AMT1 is implicated in the methylationof release factor I during translationtermination. In addition, N6AMT1 is involved in converting the arsenicmetabolite monomethylarsonous acid to the less toxic dimethylarsonic acid.
