m-PEG3-Ms is a PEG derivative containing a mesyl group. The mesyl group is a good leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of a compound in aqueous media. The water solubility properties of the PEG linker in enhanced with longer PEG chains.
