m-PEG6-Ms is a PEG derivative containing a mesyl group. The mesyl group is a good leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. The water solubility properties of the PEG chain are enhanced with longer PEG chains.
