Iron(II,III) Oxide (Fe3O4), also known as magnetite, is a magnetic material used in data storage, biomedical applications, and as a catalyst. It is also explored for use in spintronic devices. Thin films of Fe3O4 can be deposited using sputtering to create magnetic layers for advanced electronic and medical applications.
