HOXC11 Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 327 amino acids (1-304 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 36.1kDa. HOXC11 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Homeobox C11 (HOXC11) is a member of the Abd-B homeobox family. The homeobox genes encode well conserved family of transcription factors that play a vital role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. HOXC11 is one of numerous homeobox HOXC genes placed in a cluster on chromosome 12. HOXC11 attaches to a promoter element of the lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. HOXC11 also takes part in early intestinal development. An alternatively spliced variant encoding a shorter isoform has been defined however, its full-length nature has not been determined.
