Holmium, symbolized by Ho and atomic number 67, is a rare earth metal with unique properties that find application in various fields. Holmium is known for its strong magnetic capabilities and is used in specialized magnets, particularly those required for high-temperature and high-magnetic-field applications. These magnets are utilized in aerospace, defense, and medical industries. Holmium is also used as a component in laser systems, specifically in medical lasers for precise surgical procedures and in scientific research for spectroscopy and optical imaging. In addition, holmium compounds are employed as colorants in glass and ceramics, imparting a characteristic yellow or red color to these materials. With its magnetic properties, laser applications, and contributions to materials science, holmium plays a significant role in advancing technology, healthcare, and the production of vibrant and durable materials.
Holmium granules are vacuum sealed in plastic bags or argon protected in other container for safety shipment. We also use heavy foam to protect this rare earth material. Common documents together with these rare earth metals are packing list and analytical report (COA).Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
