Hams F-12 With HEPES is a Classic Basic Medium.
Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture is a widely used serum-free culture medium, originally designed by Ham in 1969 based on the F-10 nutrient mixture. This medium is suitable for single cell culture and clonal culture at low serum levels, and can also be used with added serum for the culture of cancer cells, primary cells, and chicken embryonic cells. Furthermore, the DMEM/F12 medium, which is a mixture of Ham's F-12 and DMEM in equal volumes, is more nutritious and is also widely used.
