Near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent proteins (FPs) and Firefly luciferase are powerful tools for in vitro and in vivo studies, including animal imaging. NIR FP is especially usedul for deep-tissue imaging. This premade lentivirus coexpresses firefly luciferase and a newly developed NIR FP miRFP703 under the control of the UBC promoter with puromycin as a selection marker. miRFP703 and Firefly luciferase are bicistronically expressed as two individual proteins mediated by a T2A element.
