DNP-PEG12-t-butyl ester is a PEG derivative containing a DNP moiety and a t-butyl ester group. DNP is involved in biological applications such as participating in ion transport across membranes. The t-butyl ester protecting group can be removed under acidic conditions. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
