DMEM/F12 Powder With HEPES is a Classic Basic Medium.
DMEM/F12 medium is a widely used for culturing a variety of mammalian cells, containing abundant nutrients from DMEM and F12 medium, containing a variety of trace elements. It is suitable for low serum content and clonal density culture, and can be used as a basis for the development of serum-free media. HEPES has no toxic effect on cells and is an excellent biological buffer. The medium with HEPES helps to maintain constant pH, thereby preventing adverse effects related to pH fluctuation of the culture medium on cellular growth. This product does not contain proteins, lipids or any growth factors, and therefore needs to be used with serum or serum-free additives.
