DMEM Glucose Free Without Phenol Red And L-Glutamine is a Classic Basic Medium.

Compared with MEM medium, DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) has twice the content of amino acids, four times the content of vitamins, non-essential amino acids, trace iron ions and sodium pyruvate, and has two types of glucose content, the original 1000mg/L (Low Glucose type) and 4500mg/L (High Glucose type); this latter type in particular has found wide use in cell culture. The glucose-free version of DMEM is also available and can be supplemented with glucose to meet research needs. Glucose-free DMEM does not contain proteins, lipids, or growth factors and should be used in combination with serum or serum-free additives.
