      • Overview
        • DAPI is a nuclear staining reagent that can stain DNA. It emits blue fluorescence and its brightness increases by about 20 times after it intercalates into double-stranded DNA. DAPI is commonly used for the detection of apoptosis. After staining, it can be observed with a fluorescence microscope or detected by flow cytometry. DAPI has a high tolerance to photobleaching and can be used to detect mitochondrial DNA in yeast, chloroplast DNA, viral DNA, and stained DNA.

        • Application Description
Nuclear fluorescent dyes are a class of dyes that can bind to DNA in the cell nucleus and emit fluorescence. They play an important role in cell biology research. Commonly used nuclear fluorescent dyes include DAPI, Hoechst 33258, Hoechst 33342, PI (Propidium Iodide), and others. These nuclear fluorescent dyes provide a variety of options for observing and studying the cell nucleus due to their distinct fluorescence and staining properties.
