Conductive monodisperse silica microspheres are made from a solid silica interior coated with a thin layer of silver (Ag) metal. This strategic combination of materials offers 1) the unique electrical conductivity and reflectivity of silver metal coating and 2) the narrow particle size distribution and spherical shape of monodisperse slica microspheres (CV<10%). These high precision silver-coated silica microspheres offer a conductive spacer option for LCD displays and other electrical components.
