Biotin-PEG-Succinimidyl Carbonate, MW 2K is a PEG derivative which contains biotin and succinimidyl carbonate moieties. The biotin group can react with streptavadin and avadin and is involved in metabolic processes. The succinimidyl carbonate group is a good leaving group and commonly reacts with amine nucleophiles. The PEG chain allows for enhanced water solubility of compounds in aqueous media.
