BeyoPlant™ Rapid Plant Genotyping Assay Kit

BeyoPlant™ Rapid Plant Genotyping Assay Kit provides a simple, rapid, and highly efficient method for plant genotyping. A small amount of plant leaves or other tender tissues can be added directly into PCR reactions for the amplification of target genes. This product can amplify DNA fragments up to 5 kb.

The Easy-Load™ Plant Direct PCR Master Mix (2X) included in this kit is a 2X concentrated solution of PlantTaq™ DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, and all of the components required for PCR, except DNA template and primers. PlantTaq™ DNA Polymerase is a highly efficient heat-resistant DNA polymerase engineered to be suitable for plant direct PCR amplification. The mix also contains a 2X loading buffer that enables reactions to be directly loaded on an agarose gel for electrophoresis.

BeyoPlant™ Rapid Plant Genotyping Assay Kit exhibits high resistance to various PCR inhibitors such as chlorophyll, polysaccharide, and polyphenols, that are present in corn, sponge gourd, sweet pepper, cowpea, soybean, pepper, cucumber, eggplant, tomato, etc. Leaves and tender seeds freshly collected, stored at 4°C or frozen at low temperature, can be added directly into PCR reactions with no prior DNA extraction.

The easy-Load™ Plant Direct PCR Master Mix (2X) requires a small amount of samples and has a high tolerance. Only one leaf disc in 0.1-1mm diameter is needed for a 20μl of PCR reaction.

This kit includes a pair of universal positive control primers that are compatible with a variety of plant species, by which the 297bp DNA fragment of the conservative IRB18 gene can be amplified.
