          Reconstitution: In 23-101 Diluent C. A further 5 fold dilution in Tris-EDTA buffer or other suitable buffer is recomended, for maximum performance.

          For stable light assays of mithocondrial ATP metabolism down to 10^-15 mole ATP
          Application Description
          ATP Reagent SL-M is specially developed for the assay of mithocondrial ATP metabolism, monitoring of oxidative phosphorylation with different substrates as described in Wibom, Lundin & Hultman (1990) Scand J Clin Lab Invest 50:143-152. The reagent can be used for monitoring adenosine triphosphate (ATP) over the range 10^-12 – 10^-6 mol/L. In contrast to our normal ATP Reagent SL 11-501 it does not contain magnesium ions. This makes the reagent useful for situations when the concentration and counterion of the magnesium salt used in the normal reagent is not optimal. The reagent has a decay of ATP and light emission of less than 1% per minute. The stable light allows manual handling and you can use a simpler luminometer. The detection limit is 10^-15 mole ATP, making the reagent suitable for assays of mithocondrial ATP production rate down to the detection limit and for other continous monitoring of enzymatic reactions where the magnesium ion concentration has to be adjusted.
