USP42 is a protein encoded by the USP42 gene which is approximately 145, 3 kDa. USP42 is localised to the nucleoplasm. It is involved in deubiquitination, metabolism of proteins and ubiquitin-proteasome dependent proteolysis. It is a deubiquitinating enzyme which may play an important role during spermatogenesis. USP42 is broadly expressed in human tissues. STJ96204 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of USP42 protein.
