p47-phox is a protein encoded by the NCF1 gene which is approximately 44, 6 kDa. p47-phox is localised to the cytoplasm and cell membrane. It is involved in the blood-brain barrier and immune cell transmigration, antigen processing-cross presentation and signalling by Rho GTPases. It is a multicomponent enzyme that is activated to produce superoxide anion. p47-phox is expressed in peripheral blood monocytes and neutrophils. Mutations in the NCF1 gene may result in Granulomatous disease. STJ94885 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of p47-phox protein.
